If you are one of those people that really liked to use the dashboard on your Mac and the new OS X El Capitan is driving you crazy without it – don't worry! You can still use it.
OS X El Captain brought a lot of changes – one of which may get pretty annoying to Mac users who used their dashboard quite a bit. Once you install the new OS X, it looks like your dashboard simply disappeared. But actually, it's still there, it's just deactivated. Here's how to reactivate your dashboard:
- Go to the Apple menu> System Preferences
- In Systems Preferences, select Mission Control
- In Mission Control the dashboard is set to inactive. Change the setting to active.
- If you want the dashboard to show up in Spaces, choose "Spaces".
Done! Your dashboard should be back now.
