To perform the install correctly, the Pearing process requires at least 10% of your Hard Drive to be free. The installer will prevent you from proceeding if you have less than 8GB of free space.
To install TarDisk, temporarily move a few large files off of your computer and re-start the Pear-Installer to continue. After Pearing has successfully completed, you will have additional space to hold these files and more.
If you are looking for simple files that you can move temporarily, restart your computer and take a look in your documents folder for movies or items that can be moved. To see how much space you have free, click the Apple menu and choose “About This Mac”; Look under “Storage” tab.
After you free up the space, re-start the Pear installer.
