Monitoring the hours you spend in a specific area can be very helpful in tracking how you spend your time. Presented here is a simple (and Free) guide for using IFTTT to create of log of how much time you spend in a specific area. An app is run from your phone and the data is logged in a Google Spreadsheet.
1. From your iPhone, download the App: IF by IFTTT 

    2. From your iPhone, open the IFTTT app and "install" the TimeSheet "recipe"

      2.1. Configure the TimeSheet Recipe; Click "Edit"
      2.2. Sometimes the app won't find you automatically so use the Launch Lab address to find the building (114 Western Avenue, Allston - MA). Set the zone to cover only the area shown below.
      2.3. Configure the Actions shown below;
        3. From your Computer, share the newly created Google spreadsheet with edit access to [t e k c a s e s  @ g m a i l . c o m] <--Remove the spaces. The spreadsheet will only be created on the next log, so you have to wait until get get inside of the zone, or exit it.

          4. If you are familiar with excel, implement the code below to calculate your hours. If you are not familiar with Excel ask for help; [J o e @ T a r D i s k . c o m] can help you set this up!
